Layla is one of the few remaining brocade weavers in Aleppo. She works on a wooden loom that is over 200 years old, passed down through her family. Each meter of fabric takes days to complete, as she carefully interlaces silk and gold thread by hand.
Every thread tells a story of Aleppo's past.
